Introspection considers the process of looking at one’s own skin in order to meditate and see beyond the surface. Some times looking into our own face in the reflection on the surface of the water, or staring into the palms of one’s hands one finds a way into our own heart to study self.
This process of looking internally and evaluating self is one to revisit often as we age and develop. Therefore, this idea of introspection is seeing itself in its second form as a potato like orb covered in eye like features creating lenses drawing the viewer to look inward. Having made a piece based on this idea first sixteen years ago, and again now, I foresee this subject will be seen again and revisited in the future.
